Hello,

A quick reminder that I am still collecting prom attire, for both girls and boys, for Sierra Linda High
School, located in the Tolleson School District. I sent an e-mail just before Christmas and although I
received a tremendous response in the form of e-mails, I have only had a few donations The Junior/
Senior prom is fast approaching and I need your support and help!!

Kimberly has graciously agreed to receive your donations in the Kyrene Office. I will also be happy to
pick them up at your home.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE clean out your closets and ask your friends for donations. It’s a great way to
reach out to your data base too! Remember, the donations need to be “teenager appropriate.” Which
means not TOO short and not TOO much cleavage….the boys are easy

Don’t forget, the school also collects donations of clothing, shoes and everyday items such as
toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, and misc. toiletries for their homeless students.

All donations are greatly appreciated.

For reference, my original e-mail is below.

I met Terri Groessl, who is a teacher at Sierra Linda High School at Jury duty last spring. Sierra Linda High
School is located at 67th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, in the Tolleson School District. We struck up
a conversation and talked about coordinating a project to make Junior Senior Prom a possibility for ALL
of the students in her school. You see, many of the students who attend the school are either homeless
or live below the poverty level and cannot afford to purchase the “fancy attire” needed to attend such
an event. With a donation of formal attire she could “outfit” those in need so they could attend their
Junior Senior Prom. She held on to my business card over the summer and just contacted me to see if I
was still interested in helping with the project. Because helping children is my passion, I, my daughters
and a few of their friends agreed to spearhead the project.

What do I need from you? I am asking you to go through your closets, your children’s closets and any
friends that you know well enough, to go through their closets too Heck, you could donate your 2011
Christmas dress!! I need formal attire for young men and women. You know dresses, slacks, dress
shirts, jewelry, handbags, ties, etc. The clothing must be teenager appropriate, which Terri describes as
not TOO short and not TOO much cleavage. Prom isn’t until May of 2012 but we have started to collect
items now. I will send a few reminders as the date gets closer.

They also have a “closet” where they keep everyday items such as shoes, clothing, and toiletries like
deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste etc. that are given to students they identify as homeless. If you
have items that you are donating to charity, please consider Sierra Linda High School as an option.

Kimberly has graciously agreed to let her office be a “donation location.” You can also call or e-mail me
and I will be happy to pick up your donation.

Thanks for your support,
